SUPER REGIONALS: The 5 seed Hornets opened up the SoCal Super Regionals with a strong 12-4 win over #4 Mt. SAC on Friday. Then on Saturday, FC brought down 1 seed Cerritos College 4-1. On the final day Sunday, FC had to win one game against Mt. SAC. They would lose the first game 5-3, and then drop the second game 5-1 to the Mounties falling one game short of the state tournament.
WORKIN' AWAY: The Hornets make a strong case for postseason-play after beating Golden West 9-0 on Wednesday.
TOUGH LOSS: Up 4-0 before the top of the 4th, the Hornets let the Tigers run wild as Fullerton dropped their third conference game in a row to Riverside 9-5.

Jim Fassel - Jim Fassel played quarterback at Fullerton College in 1967 and 1968, and helped lead the Hornet football squad to the 1967 National Title under head coach Hal Sherbeck. A few of the FC records still hold strong today such as Most TD Passes in a Game (6 vs OCC) and Most Points in a Game (68 vs Cypress). In 1969 Jim transferred to Long Beach State where he played QB and graduated in 1972.
